The Worlds Best Downhill Skiing - Zermatt

Zermatt in Switzerland is known throughout the world for its terrific downhill skiing. The resort at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn has the world's 2nd biggest lift-served vertical drop, and the Triftji site is renown for its amazing moguls. Zermatt consists of four distinct skiing areas - Sunnegga, Gornergrat, Klein Matterhorn and Schwarzsee.

Because of its high altitude, skiing here is possible year-round according to Zermatt.ch. "In the summer, skiing and snowboarding is possible on over 20 km of ski runs. In winter over 313 km of ski runs await skiers of all levels."
