The Coruh River is one of the fastest flowing rivers in the world, making it ideal for white water rafting. Originating in the Mescit Mountains of Turkey, it runs almost 500 km before reaching the Black Sea in Georgia. On its way, the river cuts through the steep and impregnable Kackar Mountains with their spectacular scenery and undisturbed natural habitat.
According to Enjoyturkey.com, the Coruh boasts more or less continuous rapids of a staggering 185 km. The fourth World River Championship took place in the Coruh river, which also acknowledges it as one of the best rapids in the world for white water rafting.
