Kitzbühel in the Austrian Alps is one of the best and most famous downhill skiing arenas in the world, much thanks to the annual world cup races on the Hahnenkamm mountain. The downhill slope in Hahnenkamm is considered the most challenging on the circuit, but the Kitzbühel resort also offers plenty of skiing opportunities for the less experienced visitor.
"Come and enjoy perfect skiing conditions along 168 km of immaculate ski runs, signposted for all levels of ability. And just to ensure that nothing gets in the way of an exhilarating run, snow canons cover 84 of the region's pistes." (Kitzbuehel.com)
