Lots of wrecks and lots of Atlantic sand tigers is what you can expect when diving the coast of North Carolina. Although the sharks are quite docile, their teeth-baring grin and their sheer numbers (often more than twenty) create an eerie atmosphere as you dive through this Atlantic graveyard.
"Mother Nature has cooperated to provide near-perfect conditions for a sea experience unlike anything else in the world. The warm Gulf Stream flows closer to the North Carolina coast than anywhere else in the east, except for the tip of Florida. The result is abnormally warm and clear water. Add to this mix lots of natural wrecks and just thank Mother Nature and the diving gods and goddesses." (VisitNC.com)
