Worlds Best Safari - Masai Mara

Masai Mara is a national reserve in the south east of Kenya that has long been famous for its excellent safari opportunities. The main attraction of the Masai Mara is the high amount of large predators that reside here as well as the enormous herds of wildebeest that migrates through the reserve - crossing the crocodile infested Mara river on their way.

"Each year the Mara plays host to the world’s greatest natural spectacle, the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. From July to October, the promise of rain and fresh life giving grass in the north brings more than 1.3 million Wildebeest together into a single massive herd. They pour across the border into the Mara, making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon." (Tourism.go.ke)

  1. On the one hand, I would love to go travelling in South Africa, but I don't think safari is going to be my main attraction. If I want to see big predators, I'll go to the zoo.
Besides, safari, often associated with actually hunting those poor animals. Would never shoot an animal.
