The Worlds Best Downhill Skiing - Aspen

Named after the abundance of aspen trees in the area, Aspen is probably the most famous of all North American ski resorts. This fame is partly earned because of the many celebrities that come to stay and ski, but there are good reasons for them being here. With its variety of superb skiing terrain, world-class parks and pipes and cosmopolitan shopping and nightlife, Aspen lives up to its high-profile reputation.

"Since the first season in 1946-1947, Aspen Mountain's steeps, bumps and incredible views have been the stuff of legend. Serving up untold variations of double-black, cruisers and glades for skiers and snowboarders, Aspen Mountain rises an impressive 3,267 feet from the heart of downtown Aspen." (Aspensnowmass.com)

  1. You got that right "high-profile reputation".
So high that I had to sleep in my car( couldn't afford even the cheapest room-$ around 250!). But going there-priceless!
