Beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Whistling Straits golf complex is perhaps the closest thing to the traditional British seaside links that can be found in the United States. Since its establishment in 1998, the course has played host to two PGA Championships, and is set to host two more in 2010 and 2015.
"Open, rugged and windswept terrain defines the walking-only, links-style Straits Course sculpted along two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline." Created by Pete Dye, the Straits course is considered a masterpiece in the world of golf (Destinationkohler.com).
Been there, done that?
